By means of the volkssportroute (a day trip with old traditional games) a lot of people have made knowledge with the ancient Flemish bowling or feather bowling (trabolspel).
Also the bowling lane (trabollenbaan or boltra) in our pub "De Wijngaard" (the vintage) gets regular visits from tourists. It has been notable to us that almost nobody realy knows this feather bowling game.

For this reason, we decided to make a web site in which our association is presented and the rules of the game are clearly and audible explained.

This would not have been possible without the collaboration of Mr Gerard Vervaeke who gave us admission to use pictures and text out of his book titled "Het West-Vlaams Trabolspel" . It is a splendid book with beautiful illustrations and photographs. We thank Mr. Vervaeke most kindly for his collaboration.

The result is quite good and we have been persuaded that this Internet site will increase the interest for this beautiful Flemish bowling game.
Finally we thank the town governing board to incorporate this site in the official site of the city.
